The Art of Love

in poetry •  7 years ago  (edited)

If love was a crime, I would serve a life sentence
I don't twist words when I'm making such statements
It's only you and I surrounded by the silence
Take my hands my queen, your crown truly is priceless

I love you dearly dear,
These words cannot explain it
But it's worth a try, I'm not the best of poets
Affections run deep like syringes in our bloodstreams
You give me happy vibes at the sight of your lush grin

If love was a crime, I would serve a life sentence,
Smile, laugh, as I treat you better like Shawn Mendes
Ayy, my flows are SEASONED just to SPICE your day up
We fight, but the bond gets tighter when we make up
