Broken Window

in poetry •  5 years ago  (edited)

The cartoon hour is upon us,
Time weeps,
Quietly disturbing all pieces of peace,
Where we used to slumber.

Shards remain scattered,
Peering into,
Presents together received,
Are the faded portraits of our tethered couple.

Now,
Is no time to become solemn,
Solely since your soul is hurt,
Mine dearly departed,
Along with all our hope,

and so flowered freedom
