A house that did indeed have it all.
Not too big and not too small.
The grasses that grew were all that I knew.
For no other squalor would I even bother, to attend or amend too.
What came of this place, before today?
It’s lost to another, their plans are unknown.
I lost it that day when I picked up the phone.
I have no regrets you must understand.
I have found another land.
It is not mine by title, but I know if I want to,
I can tend to another if I take up the fight to.
I hope those grasses,
Of which I knew every blade,
Are watered upon each day,
To re-instate the sweetest of glades.
My old home.
