National Poetry Month — April 14th

Today I am reading From the Adventures of Isabel by Ogden Nash.

Nash has always been one of my favorite poets because he has proven that poems don't need to be full of despair or dripping with romantic sappiness. They can be playful and humorous, goofy and down right silly.

Nash often commented on everyday life, mocking religious and political leaders alike. Among his most famous lines are "Candy / Is dandy, / But liquor / Is quicker."
