Random Stranger pt 2

With fingers shaking
I looked at the note and then back at my phone
I typed it in a couple of time
Just to make sure I wasn't calling an old age home

First ring
nothing
Second ring
I'm feeling nervous
Third ring
What if this is a fake
Fourth ring
Maybe this is a mistake

Just as the fifth started
She picked up her phone and answered
She asked in a pleasant voice
This is ____ how can I help you?

I slowly got a grip on my tongue
And assembled the words
I answered This is me
The guy on the bench under that tree

She giggled and replied
I didn't think you'd waste your time
You seemed so lost in your mind

I asked if I could meet her sometime
Just to meet up and hang out
See what our lives had in common
And why she could respond to my shout

It's nearly dusk
I hope she likes my musk
This place we are meeting at
I hope it's not an awkward greeting

A glimpse of her face
I've only seen it once
But It's imprinted in my brains

A stunning black crystalline dress
Eye's that looked like stardust
A hand stretched out
One I'm willing to trust

We met at a ballroom
The only place I was comfortable being myself
A place where I didn't need to put on a second face
This was my domain
