Diving Into Flowers

White and Red
flowers these may seem,
Blossoming side by side
amidst a bit o' green.
To a person strolling by
that's all he may deem.

But then you look
a little closer,
You think, you feel,
"there's something more there."
Sparing a few seconds, then minutes, an hour
You grab a chair, sit there, pondering from afar.

"If White is peace then blood is Red,
what soldiers shed
When waging wars and falling 'thud!'

Say White is success, Red is struggle,
seeing one without the other
puts you in trouble.

White is logic, Red's a lover
running from the former's cover
which catches up, however."

So much depth's enough for the day,
let not people think that I'm cray",
you say,
"For now I'll just let them be -
White and Red flowers
with a hint o' green!"
