Forest

Please enjoy this brief, suspenseful poem about your trip into the forest! :)

Forest

leopard-gecko-yellow.jpg

You walk through the shadowless shelter.
A black spotted lizard drinking amber syrup
gains the strength to climb toward the buzzing,
raining down from above.
The clear sky rolled, but the weather did not not change.
Your astonishment froze you.
You watched for many years,
and as the final gulp of syrup was swallowed,
Crash! There was no more buzzing.
There was only silence.
