Poetry Corner: Walls In Which I HidesteemCreated with Sketch.

Unwarranted assumptions seem to run my life,
Unknown am I to the world outside.
These walls around me, suffocate me, kill me,
Yet within those walls I willingly hide.

I am the boy with the smile, the frown, the scowl,
The one that wears the masks of man kind.
I know not fear, yet it knows me well,
For it is always in the back of my mind.

I am hidden in the walls, so thick and so tall,
These walls I have built on my own.
So careful was I to keep others out,
But now I feel so alone.

I get up again, chisel and hammer in hand,
I will destroy this wall I'm confined in.
I will see the world as it truly is,
For the good, and the horrible sin.
