Balancing the Mind in the Hands of Community: Poetry Dice Entry Wk24: Balance

Laying in a bed towered by thoughts of rejection.
Questions of who will climb over this wall
to catch this ejected heart?
Waiting and waiting, wishing for sleep,
but none comes; simply worry instead.
Silently, the distracting mind gouges an eye for an eye
leaving the third eye unobstructed to perceive intentions.

Repeating the crime scenes of words unspoken
and cloudy imbalances of responsibilities
like a detective assigning children’s finger prints
found on a revolving door. Alliances are clarified
with recounts of the past, leaving tear drops frozen in time.

The moon shaped window gives light
to the direction of the north star.
The remembrance of internal brilliance multiplies,
casting shadows behind those ignorant of illumination and stifled by stories.

Gratitude fills the well of experience
sending signals to the ties of the heart.
Moldering the focus of a friendship to
delegating the time towards self-discovery.
Reclaiming the heart strings entombed to a potential
bound by caged thoughts and strangled actions.

Lamenting feet retrace steps towards the home of harmony
and reach back for a friendship once was nourishing.
No longer will my spirit let me play small.
“Grow,” whispers the voice inside, “step out into the path unmade,
for it’s time to balance these finite fears that weigh down humanity.”

All hands on deck to grab this patient heart
and sow it with seeds of forgiveness and compassion,
placing it in the rooted soils of community. Blissings bring
karmic resolve to the past of sly domination. Harvest has arrived;
there is plenty of acceptance for those of complex imagination.
