I'm going to try to challenge myself, and this is the very first one. I am going to try to write 100 Poems in 30 days (essentially, I'm trying to pay for a Birthday Gift for my wife and this is how I want to pay for it). Anyway 100 Poems in 30 Days... should be something to see. I just hope I can come through with good poetry that people enjoy.

Fear Feels

Fear feels formless
as the striking hand,
sifts through the neck
of the silent sands.

Fear feels fleshless
as a ghastly pain,
a wisp and a wink
that's beyond the grave.

Fear feels freely
as the choking throat,
the drowning tears
and the fallen smote.

Fear feels fiercely
as a shaking fist,
white-knuckled tense
but unable to assist.

Fear feels fleeting
as the blinking eyes,
and then beyond it
holds emboldened lies.

Fear feels foreign
as a language often does,
when you learn new words
to replace what once was.

Fear feels frozen
as the icy tendrils grow,
the cold as deep-ingrained
as the sunless glow.

Fear feels finite
as a timeless death,
where the end is oblivion
without a single remaining breath.
