My friends, can you remember
A time when you were not?
Imagine ‘you’ not being here?
It might help you a lot
To try with all your heart and soul
To catch a glimpse of death
A time when you be naught at all
Just dust be all then left

My friends, if no one told you
That your form is all that be
If you had never seen before
Some kind of effigy
Telling you that death is real
Would you then ever die
The thought of death would never come
It maybe death’s a lie.

My friends, do not you feel it?
The force that moves within you
Can you feel that energy
That’s always pure and new
It could well be you’re not just form
And the thing that you call I
It be the only effigy
That will one day have to die.
