Now that the Detective Pikachu event on Pokémon GO is over, we have a new update bringing us the Glacial, Mossy and Magnetic Lure Modules. Along with their release several new Pokémon have been added into the game too! Out of the new Pokémon released with this update, 4 of them evolve thanks to these new Lures. Which can be purchased in the shop for 200 coins each.
Perhaps we can see them added as rewards in special quests in the future. As we often get various rewards from the Special Research Quests. I assume that when the gen 4 Special Research quest comes out we might have to evolve all 4 of those Pokémon and if we do, they might give us these new Lures as rewards in it. That would still be a long way though, as we haven't received the gen 3 Special Research quest line yet.

The Glacial Lure will attract more Water- and Ice-type Pokémon to the Pokéstop it's been activated in. With the Mossy Lure more Bug-, Grass- and Poison-type Pokémon will be attracted and the Magnetic Lure will bring more Electric-, Steel- and Rock-type Pokémon.
While inside the Lure area you can evolve a few Pokémon to their gen 4 evolutions, that can't be evolved using a Sinnoh Stone due to these 4 Pokémon requiring level up at a special location in order to evolve. Rather than requiring an item or a certain move.
- Glacial Lure : Eevee can evolve into Glaceon
- Mossy Lure : Eevee can evolve into Leafeon
- Magnetic Lure : Magneton can evolve into Magnezone and Nosepass can evolve into Probopass
Other than these evolutions several other gen 4 Pokémon have been added to the wild and in eggs. These are:
- Cherubi
- Cherrim
- Burmy (Plant, Sandy and Trash Cloak)
- Wormadam (Plant, Sandy and Trash Cloak)
- Mothim
- Hippopotas
- Hippowdon
- Gible
- Gabite
- Garchomp
A new Charged Attack, Earth Power, has also been added into the game. Hippowdon for example will likely be able to learn this move. This Ground-type move has also been added to the move pool for Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Aerodactyl, Camerupt and Claydol.
I will have to take a good look at my highest IV Eevee's and also see whether or not my best Magnemite or Magneton and Nosepass are already worth evolving.
Will you immediately try to evolve these Pokémon with the new Lures or hold off on their evolutions for a while?
