What we will do is send presents to friends and open presents we received from friends.

Step 1 - Add 75 people on Reddit
Go to Reddit - Pokemon GO and add 75 people, as you can only open 75 presents per day.
You either post your own friends code, or you go to a thread and tell them you add them all, and so you do.
Step 2 - Daily action
Now it's up to you how consistent you open and send presents.
Some math

Everything added together gives you 163.000 XP per friend.
20.000.000 / 163.000 = 122,7 > 123 friends.
With an activated lucky egg the XP is doubled!
20.000.000 / 326.000 = 61,3 > 62 friends.
Personal tip
You should try to get ultra friends with multiple people on the same time, so you can save up some lucky eggs.
With that method you should be Level 40 within 3-6Month of not active playing.
