Heya folks. Athough it been a few weeks, I've not had much time until now to really sit down and write a blog about the amazing tournament on May 6th.

Unlike previous tournaments, this one was the most organized and the most fun to play so far. A small group of foreigners (myself included) decided to do our best and play.

I had been working hard on a team for the past few weeks and although the team had some obvious holes in it, I was overall happy with the team. I added weavile late into the building process as I had big problems with landrous and excadril , weavile countered them both , so I was happy.

the tournament also happened to take place during and in the Pokemon World festival, which was great but also disappointing. From my perspective a festival should have lots to do and see, this one didn't really have much to do other than tons of pikachu and things to take pictures with/of.

Regardless, I wasn't there for the festival and had a tournament to play at.

Which I did rather okay.

Although 2/4 isn't the best, its an improvement over my previous score and I know that my score would be better if I had not made certain mistakes such as using a thunderbolt instead of a dazzling gleam with my Tapu koko.

After the rounds were finished, our group regathered and only one of us had a winning score (4/2). They had originally told us that 2 losses would pretty much mean we were out of the tournament due to the system they used. BUT they were wrong and one of my teammates had made top cut.

Her luck was not to last and she was only able to make it into the top 16. We were still so proud of her and it was the best any of us has been able to manage so far.

After that we were able to check out a few of the sights before coming back to watch the final 4, which included using a friendship based move with a Pokemon on low friendship (it lost him the game).

Overall it was a long and enjoyable day that I can't wait to do again in November with a new generation!
