I am starting up a new personal venture on the side that I hope will allow me to do something fun with my daughter who loves Pokemon and at the same time keep me engaged.
It's no secret that Pokemon cards can be pretty expensive when you buy them at the store and often times when you're buying a pack of cards at the store you're risking those packs not really returning much value if you don't pulling some cool or useful for one of your decks.
On the other hand, when you have small children especially that don't really care about the value of cards necessarily but just have a ton of fun opening card packs you it adds another dynamic of fun to the game.
So my daughter and I have been opening packs but at the same time trying to use as many cards as we can to make decks that just her and I can play with at home for fun. We've managed to make 6 decks now that we love and have a blast playing with but we've also started to accumulate several extra cards that we are not using.
While it would be nice to just stash them away and save a collection for her for when she's older we've decided to take a different approach and to try to sell some of the extra cards that we have so that we can go buy more stuff and open anything new that we get together.
With that said, TCGPlayer only allows me to list a total of 100 cards until I can make a few says and receive a few positive feedback scores in return, along with following all of the shipping and condition requirements of the site but it's hard starting off because people rely heavily on those feedback scores when trying to find a seller to purchase from.
If we can manage to make over 2 positive sales we'll move up to the next level and be able to list up to 200 cards I believe. Then the next level after that moves up to 500 cards and so on from there.
Please come check it out if you're into Pokemon at all to help support myself and my daughter in our new joint venture. Since I was limited to 100 cards I tried to pull out things I thought were either cool or trainer cards I thought got played alot.
Take a look and see what you think!
