Poker Tip Man Armen-"It's the Dealers' Fault"

I can't tell you how many times I've heard poker players blaming the dealer for bad beats. Even yelling or cursing at them when they don't hit their AK. I never ever blame the dealer for my bad luck or praise them for good luck.

I have learned to take advantage of certain situations when it comes to other players being superstitious about a dealer that they don't like. One example is when I was playing with a player who had AK and I had KJ. I had called a raise preflop in early position. We both missed the flop, the other player gave his hand away by shaking his head and pointing at the dealer, signaling that he missed the flop. I quickly realized the situation and I bet out and took the pot down. The player showed his dislike of the dealer by saying “you always fuck me over.”

You should never have preconceived ideas about a dealer, weather it's good or bad. It really takes away from your game. You need to play your cards and the players. The dealer has nothing to do with the outcome of the hand. It's silly to think that the dealer gives you bad beats just to spite you. Play your game and don't let factors that don't effect the game change the way you play.

Its ugly to see the way some of these players take it out on the dealers, its as tho the dealers are trying to kill their children or something. Dealers are just doing their jobs trying to feed their kids, and making life tough for them will only chase the good dealers away and end up with the shitty slow dealers. So tip the good dealers well and show them you appreciate their efforts.
