We perceive gambling as one of the prevalent recreational activity in contemporary society today. The game of the lucky ones as some call it attracts people from all generations, young and old ones.

As you know, gambling link alternatif refers to those activities (or games) that involve risking money or other valuable items. These activities or games mostly depend on chance (slot machines for instance), but in some cases people can also use their skill to manipulate with the game (like in game of poker).

The reason why gambling is so popular these days is because of the endless profitability that it offers to the players. But despite these popularity, most of the people involved in the gambling, do not know how it started and who actually started it.

With that in mind, lets now take a look at some of the people, who are in various ways responsible for the development of gambling. We will start with slot machines.

The first one is Charles Fey, a car mechanic from San Francisco, who back in year 1895 invented the first slot machine ever called Liberty Bell. This slot machine was made out of 3 spinning wheels that featured 3 different shapes: hearts, diamonts and spades with a cracked Liberty Bell at each reel.

The next person worth mentioning is Henry Stephen Mills, a manufacturer, who in year 1907 started to reproduce similar machines to Liberty Bell, but he named those slot machines as Operator Bell. From there on, slot machines have slowly evolved into the form that we know today.

When it comes to card games, like blackjack for instance, it is hard to tell how the game started and evolved itself or who started and promote it. No records were ever made for the purpose of history. But despite no history records, the evolution of basic blackjack strategy still took place.

The first blackjack strategy, that caused lots of disturbance among players and statisticians, was distributed to the public in 1958 by the following men: McDermott, Cantey, Maisel and Baldwin. A book called Winning Blackjack was published as well, describing the basic strategy by using hand calculators.

This book on blackjack is considered as one of the most valuable resources for playing blackjack, also responsible for the development of so called card counting techniques.

Due to the men, mentioned above, gambling has evolved itself into a big world phenomenon, which also has some negative effects on the society (addiction is one of them), but never the less, these men are still great inventors, whose ideas still live in modern world.
