According to local media money.pl reports, the Central Bank of Poland has admitted that it sponsors Facebook, Google and Youtube to defraud cryptocurrencies.
Marcin Dubiel posted on YouTube a video titled "My money is gone ?!" A young man in the video invested all his money in cryptocurrencies, embarrassed when dating his girlfriend, who could not pay for meals because of cryptocurrency. Girlfriend left after paying with legal currency. The video has a dramatic ending with the young man who eventually lost all his belongings and looked down upon all his statutory gains by looking desperately at the evil cryptocurrency profiteers. At the time of writing, this video has over 500,000 page views.
The anti-encryption currency action is planned by Youtube's Polish network partner Gamelon. The Polish Central Bank has sponsored 91,000 zlotys (about 27,000 U.S. dollars) this trip.
The video comes with a "uważajnakryptowaluty" label, a website set up by the Polish government to warn users about the risks of
investing in cryptocurrencies. This site lists the reasons for cautious investment in cryptocurrencies, including hacking, fraud and price volatility.
There is no law in Poland that explicitly opposes cryptocurrencies, and people are wondering why the central bank of Poland is sponsoring this. And local media money.pl has publicly questioned the reason behind this move and they have not received any response yet.The Polish central bank move is the first government agency to engage in defamation against cryptocurrencies.
