This is the first bird pet I ever had. His name is Policarpio, "Poli" in short. He is an African lovebird and highly recommended for beginners who wanted to have a pet. For almost 2 months this bird made me feel like I am not alone. I live alone in the apartment I am renting as a working student. I have a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend. This adorable creature wakes me up every morning by just flying towards my shoulder. This bird can go anywhere I go walk around me while I am driving my car. My whole family would love to see him every time I go visit them. I know these types of birds have a great life span but life isn't just about the life span. We also need to consider the danger that awaits ahead of us and to our beloved. Now, this poor little creature made me think that it's not about how long you have been in this world. It is about how you served your purpose. He was a gift from God that had fully served his purpose although in a short while. I cannot blame the wild cat that caught him and bit him mid-air when it is its nature to just do it whenever it sees a small bird. It felt so sad to see him dying until his last breath. I will always remember this friend of mine.
