A new Fort Myers business is being questioned by city leaders after Fort Myers Police have been there more than 90 times.
The Fly Lounge located along Colonial Boulevard has been operating as a restaurant and a nightclub since September. FMPD has had calls to service more than 90 times including incidents like assault, noise complaints and breach of peace.
The owner of the lounge told council members Monday they have hired security and don't run into any big problems.
They also told city leaders on busy nights the most people they will see is around 200.
Councilwoman Terolyn Watson asked council members to give the new business a chance.
The city manager told the council they cannot discuss the issue at the Fly Lounge because Fort Myers Police are investigating.
The city said Fly Lounge owners and the Fort Myers Police Department will have a meeting within 30 days to hopefully resolve the issues.
