Trademark rulings that show hipocracy between "The Slants" and the "Washington Redskins" rulings.

In 2014, the trademark for the Washington Redskins was cancelled because it was perceived by the United States Patent & Trademark Office as being "disparaging to Native Americans." Of course we all know that it was merely an attack on our 1st Amendment. It's being reported today, that an obscure band named "The Slants" won their case in front of the Supreme Court after having to defend their band's name because it was "disparaging to Asians." They problem with the argument this time is that the BAND is made up of 100% ASIANS.
Maybe there's hope, but I don't doubt there will be many more attacks on our First Amendment before this stuff is over....redskins_the-slants.png
