Większość planet kręci się wokół osi w lewo, a Wenus jako jedyna obraca się w prawo. Dlatego na Wenus słońce wstaje na zachodzie i zachodzi na wschodzie. Odwrotnie jak na Ziemi! Chmury te składają się z kropelek kwasu siarkowego i pokrywają cała planetę. Atmosfera składa się głownie z dwutlenku węgla, co powoduję trzymanie ciepła przy powierzchni. Część promieni słonecznych które przedostają się przez chmury podgrzewa ten gigantyczny piekarnik do temperatury 470 * C !
