The truth doesn't hurt ... it just is ...

Listen to the linked video from Harvard scholar Steven Pinker (who wrote the book "The Blank Slate" among others) from at least 1:25 to 3:13 and you will hear him make 4 true statements that are nevertheless controversial to make in a university setting:

Be candid with yourself ... when you hear him make those statements, do you have an instinct to want to rebut the statements ... or attack Pinker's character? Maybe label him a hater? A racist? A sexist? Why have some in our society grown afraid of truth? How did our universities come to adopt a mission to hide the truth? What happens when a university abandons truth and teaches ideology and suppression of truth?
