Georgia governor Bryan Kim appoints back CEO Kelly Lafleur as new US Senator replacing Johnny Isakson who will step down on December 31st of this year due to health problems long in the short of it is he's just an old dude he's been a Republican in Georgia for a long time and Joe Kelly Lafleur is going to be stepping up into this role
She's actually going to be leaving back so she's gonna be transitioning on January 1 to the US. senator from the back CEO now they don't know who's gonna replace her at backed yet one of the candidates is a former coinbase guy Quinn bass executive Adam White would be a natural successor but we don't know for sure that that is what is going to happen so she did make some comments today she said she was Pro-Trump in favor his border wall second Amendment rights she's against abortion and socialism and she did not address crypto or Bitcoin in her introductory remarks it feels like we've got the Trojan horse here we've got someone who's made a lot of money in crypto someone who believes in cryptocurrency you can argue whether or not back has been good for crypto or not but at the end of the day she is now a senator and we will have to see how this affects things she didn't come in guns-a-blazing talking about bitcoin and crypto on her first day but yet you know this is gonna shape her policy decisions now
I will say that a lot of Republicans are upset about this Sean Hannity actually just last night on his show on Fox News was discussing Kelly Lafleur and that he believes that Doug Collins should, in fact, George congress Minh have gotten you to know declaration he would be the next senator over Kelly Lafleur but Brian Kemp and the Georgia GOP decided that they were gonna make Kelly La Fleur probably because she has the funds to push campaigns forward for the Republican Party so there's a really interesting story she has the backing of Mitch McConnell the Senate Majority Leader and she goes right into a firestorm with all the impeachment hearings that are going on in Congress about to move over to the Senate probably pretty soon
