Here's the issue with what seems to be said in this piece. The threat of a civil war is very real, very possible, and in my opinion, greatly needed. The idea that it would be between the Left and the Right is absurd. Sure, there is a serious disconnect between the two, but the question one should ask themselves is what is the end goal? What would the left and right want to gain from such a war? No, the war would be between the haves and the haves-not.
There is too much power at the top of the world. The government, the bankers, everything in politics, the purpose of politics is to distribute resources. The current system set up does not have us, the people, our best interest at heart. Don't mistake a free market with capitalism. They are different. Our world could be so much better. What would be the best outcome from a civil war, not just here in America, but around the world. Where the proletarians realize their power.
Under any other circumstances you would probably be right however I think that in these circumstances the powers that be have developed enough self awareness to realize that the only hope they have of surviving the societal cycle and solidifying their power is through playing off both of the artificial side beneath them.
