Too many people will be driven to the polls by fear. Some are so afraid of four more Trump years they'll actually vote Biden, and some are so afraid of a Biden Presidency that they'll actually vote Trump. The focus of this fear is short-sighted and completely ignores addressing what's most important here.
Wasting a vote on Trump or Biden merely props up a system that allowed for this scenario. A scenario where among 330 million Americans, these are the men American voters are lead to believe are rational top two finalists, and the only options they should even consider. Addressing the root causes of this is a far more worthy goal for this nation than making sure one of these two guys win just so the other doesn't.
V once said "People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.". Voting for the Republican or the Democrat is not going to produce systemic change addressing the root of the rot until the Republican or Democrat parties have systemic change. And they're not going to be motivated enough to do anything but give some lofty-sounding empty words and platitudes until they're made to be afraid.
They don't want to lose market share or face any real competition to their cartel. They've worked their way into a nifty niche where in order to maintain their duopoly they just have to make you more afraid of the other guy than you are disgusted by their guy. They don't need to produce results in office... in fact, solving problems actually hurts their strategy of promising that next time will be different.
America is Charlie Brown, and the Republican/Democrat parties are Lucy holding back the football.
Jo Jorgensen may not be our next President. But until her or people like her can garner enough support to be considered a threat to their power, the major parties are going to act accordingly.
