Liberals celebrate Rand Paul catching coronavirus

I'm sure we should take the comments section on really anything online and assume that this is where the worst in people is brought out but this is one thing I notice about liberals that seems to happen a lot less in conservatives.

Just because Rand Paul is a Republican (actually he's Libertarian but realizes he needs the R next to his name) there are many people out there in the comments that are laughing and happy about the fact that this man has tested positive for the virus.

You might could say (that's a redneck term for ya there) that I'm rather indifferent to Rand Paul. I liked your father a lot but find you to be a bit weak and I think you should be satisfied with the role of Senator as that is the highest you are going to travel there bub. You are a weak speaker and can only ride your father's popularity wave for so long.

That being said, Rand is likely the person in politics that I tend to agree with the most out of everyone. I am sure he has some crooked elements about him but he is about as inline with what I believe politically that I think we can expect in USA politics since the R's and D's dominate the landscape.

Celebrating that he tested positive and then lol-ing about how he probably spread it to other Conservatives in the now near nearly 5000 comment section of the CBS article is pretty deplorable in my book. Remember how Hillary Clinton called Trump supporters a "basket of deplorables" - which i don't even think can be used as a noun? Well I don't often see this attitude by conservatives wanting to one-up their political enemies by them being dead.

I don't know many Liberals personally, but I do think that generally speaking they tend to be a lot more hot-headed and lose their cool and have a methodology of "any path to victory is acceptable." Maybe it is just my redneck and Christian roots, but wishing death on just about anyone kinda goes against the Golden Rule.

I find the comments and even tweets from famous people about this to be an awful representation of what liberals have become in this country. They preach compassion and civil rights but to anyone who isn't completely in their corner, they would rather see them dead. Awful.
