On Democrat, Republican, Progressive Policies, What Difference Does It Even Make?

To understand the precarious position that actual Progressive find themselves in today, it is important to understand how the policies they support or oppose are portrayed and at times weaponized within the current two party system and their official standard bearers.

In the current state of play, to the Democrat, opposition to Trump is the be-all end-all of their political lives. In public, not supporting their preferred brand of #Resistance literally makes you either a #Trumpster or a #PutinBot. To them, there is no middle ground, unless of course, you are a "party member in good standing" and resisting doesn't serve the party and their donor class. We real progressive like to call them #TheAssistance or #McGriftance, depending on whether they drop a fundraising link onto their machinations.

To Republicans, it's a bit more complicated. For decades their leadership has been the mortal political enemies of the Democrats... in public. Some are honest in their intent, just as not all Dems are crooks, but it's not always obvious to the casual observer which is which. It seems that "casual observer" is about as woke as any of them can tolerate any of us.

I should apologize here if I may seem to "confuse" the two parties at times, but I would suggest it's a healthy confusion necessary if your ultimate goal here is truth, as well as a conveniently commandeered weapon system dropped on the battlefield by the political elite and their MSM mouthpieces.

While publicly, each side professes to "stand up" for an oppressed segment of society, privately (as many #WokeAF citizens have come to realize) they create these false controversies and stoke social confrontations to hide their Neo-Colonialistic collusion. Any grassroots movement from the left must expect a Soros backed take-over or "political brownstoning" by tying said movements to concocted entities as an implanted weak point for later exploitation al'a Carter Page.

No two issues are more obviously intertwined by their joint efforts to fool the electorate when viewed from outside the social blinders as the Crack epidemic of the 1990's and the Opioid epidemic of today. The only difference is the speed and volume in which Heroin has moved from inner-cities like LA and NY via #IranContra to the foothills of West Virginia via #AwanContra.

So when I woke up this morning and saw some sleepwalker telling Progressives that "The GOP represents this single greatest threat to human existence on the planet today." I just couldn't #resist.

This comment misunderstands the problem.

The GOP represents this single greatest threat to human existence on the planet today.

Opposition to them IS the solution to the problem, b/c they ARE the problem. The more zeal, the better. The less, the worse.https://t.co/S1WLduM9qN

America's issues w/ the GOP & Dems are wholly different from each other.
GOP has bad policy, on pollution, corporate governance, pot, just to name a few.
Dems co-opt the good policies of Progressives, corrupt them, and hang Progressives w/ the aftermath. #DerpState #SpyGate--> https://t.co/5QGURm4Mxy

On climate and environment:
-Progressives push environmental protection.
-GOP misreads Bible and thinks resource exploitation is kool.
-Dems push flawed climate models for profit, sow fear, push carbon tax, make
secret deals w/ oil, gas, nukes.#Biocide #UraniumOne #IceAgeCometh

On Immigration:
-Progressives are welcoming, understand most all come from immigrant families.
-GOP forgot, willfully or not, where we came from, and who was rly here first.
-Dems parade vulnerable immigrants for elections, hang them out to dry when in their interest. #Rezpect

BlueStateMeatPuppet (@ShoreProgress) February 10, 2018

On foreign policy:
-Progressives believe the military should be a last resort.
-GOP sees war as statecraft. Kool with war for profit. Protectionist.
-Dems hide their warmongering behind semi-Progressive language,
attempting to run a world empire, failing. #AwanContra

BlueStateMeatPuppet (@ShoreProgress) February 10, 2018

Domestic policy:
-Progressives believe in a #SocialDemocracy where failure to innovate is not a death sentence.
-GOP believes in #SocialDarwinism where it sometimes is.
-Dems suffer from #Pleonexia and will have us believe anything in securing their rackets.

BlueStateMeatPuppet (@ShoreProgress) February 10, 2018

Elections:
-Progressives believe in free fair elections, never trusted e-voting.
-GOP had no problem w/ Bush stealing FL '00 and Ohio '04.
-Dems said nothing abt '00-'04 prob b/c Clinton/Bush a cabal,
had no prob w/ stealing primary from @SenSanders but now cry "HACK".

Sadly, we could go on and on. There is a laundry list of policies that both Republicans and Democrats push that are equally as bad for America while for completely different reasons. Healthcare is just another self-inflicted disaster. Whether you call it #Obamacare or #Romneycare, it still provides a perfect example of how the same bad policy idea is interchangeable as both a cash cow or political weapon, pending on what the ultimate agenda our #DerpState masters want to shove up our asses today.

Meanwhile, Progressives get the shit end of the stick. Democrats prance around pushing half measure policies and label it and themselves "Progressive". Then, when it turns out that the policy they've been pushing has nothing to do with the original progressive idea they just bastardized in its creation, their Republican counterparts get to call the failed policy a Commie/Progressive agenda hence completing the cycle.

So when people from the not-quite awake left get uppity at people like @JimmyDore for calling bullshit on the #RussianConspiracyTheory, or @caitlinjohnstone for attempting to bridge the divide fostered by decades of collaborative deceit, we need to stand by them, even if we may not agree with some minor aspect of how they may have worded an article or approached a political adversary. To do so only empowers the #DerpState's efforts to suppress a true awakening, and co-opt the ultimate winners of the next elections.

Not all attempts will end in success, but doing nothing always ends to failure.

I'll leave you with this barn burner from @JimmyDore.
