I got the power!
People want power, everyone loves it. No matter who you are or where you are. But what differentiate power-hungry megalomanic evil overlords from the more refined powerist. The cause does, and more importantly if there is a cause at all. Power for the sake of power equals evil nicely explained in the following sociopolitical psycho mathematical formula: P+P=E.
When people enjoy power itself, things start organizing itself towards disaster much like if you would equip a wolksvagen beetle with a V8 engine and remove the steering wheel. “SO LONG AMIGO!”
However, power is not something bad, it can turn out really beautiful. If power is governed by high ethical values. With no ethics or graceful guidance power corrupts and detoriate, eventually it looses momentum and dies off. It is the ethics that convince the masses to go in one direction so non ethical power is usually a phenomena of an ethical movement being hijacked by a viral internal entity seeing usually money as the end result, pulling the once ethical movement into another direction until it it entirely taken over by its virus, at this point the power might get a boost for some time until the the collective consciousness realize the loss of true direction and seem to find itself spinning in a lower circuit of actions than before. It will then enter into a confused state, loose momentum and eventually die off unless it takes to ethical guidance again and regain inspiration and hope.
Power is just the fuel or the engine of a vehicle. It is in many ways a male energy and similar to a real man it should serve its women well. They are the ones who usually give the best directions. A man should serve his sisters, daughters, mother and wives because they define cause and set the best course and is at the end of the day always the return point. Wars are fought for what? For men to secure the peace of their family where the core is the female, the one who gives life and nourish a family. They are the return point for power to regenerate.
If power of any nature has good contact with its source two new elements forms called Grace and Beauty. When power is in constant contact with the elements of grace and beauty it too becomes graceful and beautiful. This phenomena have the potential to culminate into something we rarely dare to even consider as an option, the Sacred and the Holy.
The power we often talk most about is political power which without ethical guidance turn ugly. Then we have individual power coming from a continuation of social position and natural heritage. Some people though born in financial poor circumstances have everything it takes to speak up and make things move and are therefore natural leaders.
Be it political, social or individual. Power remains an engine, a means towards an end of higher nature. As human beings I think we should aim to keep it a means and never allow it to try to claim a higher nature. Power remains as a principle always a servant of Grace. In fact power as a concept cannot exist alone, it is always a servant of the exalted, and it is that which is exalted that provides the power.
Having the myth of power debunked I see no reason to continue this post.
