DeSantis is expected to formally announce his candidacy around memorial day weekend with a soft announcement next week. Dude is getting blown away in the polling so far. Trump's on track for 53% of the vote. With the way the GOP primary is structured this is closer to ~67% of the delegates. At the state level the polling is even more abysmal. DeSantis is even struggling in the Florida polling.
We might get the best of all worlds here. I was half worried DeSantis wasn't going to run. DeSantis getting thrashed in the primary and Trump losing in the general would be great.
