There's a colorable argument that in our era of polarization and with intense battleground campaign spending that the VP home state boost would be attenuated in a swing state.
I guess Harris saw sufficient polling to that end. I trust the Harris vetting team had more information than any of us on the matter.
The more I read up on the vetting process the more I come away thinking Harris really has been running an efficient and smart campaign. It makes me optimistic about the months ahead. I'm getting Obama vibes for the first time in awhile unironically.
