Such an important article at this moment in history, thank you for writing it @meholstein. It sounds like you've identified that the goal isn't primarily to end shootings but to ban guns. Why do you think they want to ban guns so badly?

I don't personally know. Republicans say that it's because they're really on a quest to consolidate power. And as history has taught us, governments that want to consolidate power typically disarm their citizens. But again, I haven't taken a look at that too closely, so I wouldn't know.
