Ice is upping immigration enforcement significantly due to Jerry Brown's push to make California a "Sanctuary State".

"If [Governor Jerry Brown] thinks ICE is going away, we're not. There's no sanctuary from federal law enforcement. I'm going to significantly increase our enforcement presence in CA. We're already doing it. CA better hold on tight. They're about to see a lot more special agents [and] deportation officers." -ICE Acting Director Thomas Homan

Next will come the DEA and Justice Department to enforce Federal drug laws. Thanks for poking the bees' nest Mr. Brown. California will not benefit from your decisions.
