Live Results: Super Tuesday Voting, Poll Closing Times (March 3)

in politics •  5 years ago  (edited)

Today could be a turning point in the Democratic primary which sets the stage for a run to the convention for one candidate or serve to create a convoluted result where no one can capture the necessary 1,990 delegates needed to claim the nomination in the first round. Sen. Bernie Sanders is looking string in the northeast and out west, while former vice president Joe Biden is hoping for a sweep across the southern states including Texas.

Today is Tuesday, March 3, known in political circles as "Super Tuesday" because of the number of states voting and the massive delegate haul that will be awarded. There will be 1,357 delegates up for grabs which accounts for about one-third of all pledged delegates on the Democratic side.
