President Trump dumped the climate change scam known as the Paris Accord, or the Paris Climate Agreement. “I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris,” he said. Liberals are crying and screaming, creating multiple hashtags, and blaming Trump for ending the human race. http://bit.ly/1QHJwaK

From a new steemer and a Canadian - wish we had a Trump type leader in our Country. We have been faithful Trump fans ever since he announced his intention to run - and what a ride it's been. Loved being on the Trump train. Will follow and encourage you to Steem On.

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/earth-s-co2-passes-the-400-ppm-threshold-maybe-permanently/ With this article it shows Trump is right to back out of this deal. Also we are leading with climate change look at other countries like China they have little to no regulations and care

well said @jery43.... it should affect the countries that actually have NO REGULATIONS.

How does that mean Trump is right to back out of the deal?

For a couple reasons

  1. Cuts down hundreds of thousands of jobs
  2. Will cost 3 trillion
  3. Other countries are not making an effort to help out (China is last on list lol)
  4. We already went over the CO2 threshold of 385 ppm in 2008
  5. Obama had a chance to do this treaty and Trump would have a hard time getting rid of it so why didnt he?
I am for a better deal but this one is not a good one at all

You cited specifically an article stating we went over 400ppm as the reason it made sense.

I just don't follow that at all. We're going over unrecoverable limits so don't do anything?

China is certainly causing a lot of pollution building products for the US, but they did sign the treaty and they are also trying to move to renewable energy.

400 ppm CO2 is not an "unrecoverable limit." That's a scare tactic. CO2 has been in the thousands of ppm in the past during periods of glacier growth. Compared to water vapor, it's greenhouse effect is negligible, in addition to water vapor being far more plentiful in the atmosphere than it. This renders any warming effect from rising CO2 several orders of magnitude lower than that of water vapor, meaning it doesn't actually impact temperature or the climate in any measurable way.

No that's not what I am saying though having that happen means there is already a big impact done and dealt with and Obama had a chance to join in this treaty and would be really hard for Trump to back out of but didnt. Yea I know China is and I have been helping promote a new product the Smog Tower that can potentially help out if used efficiently. This deal will harm us more than help. Germany has already went through a deal similar and is did little to nothing to help. And just using solar hurted them with no backup generator, to much at once or to little with selling the rest to nothing in return. We need something that benefits the US equally not have us be the hero in every case.

Go TRUMP

Really good news here. To think even if you could possibly reduce the temperature by their data point of 2 tens of a percent over a 100 years look at the cost and lives that will be impacted and destroyed to keep paying out over 100 trillion dollars. Mind boggling that scientists deny that the earth is a giant greenhouse and that all the water that is present is the same water as was ever on the planet.

It's the first sensible thing someone has done with this climate change bullshit in years. I wish Australia would follow suit.

I've been to many areas in China. It can be a slight struggle to breathe at times due to the pollution. Trump is so correct.

He's so cool. Not going to let anything slide.

@craig-grant Thank You 4 sharing this video... Time is precious but it really seems important to actually listen to people instead of depending upon others to "accurately" report the ( fake or misleading ) news...

He is such an idiot.... I cant believe he got elected.... I cant believe he hasn't been impeached.....

You can't just impeach people because you don't like their politics. You can't just impeach people because the Fake News is pretending that a legal thing he did is somehow a treasonous offense.

What offence specifically do you allege and what proof supports Trump's impeachment?
Obama deported over 2.5 illegal immigrants and that was NOT racist.
Obama assisted Mexico with 75 million to try and secure the Mexican/ Quatemala border and that was NOT racist.
Both Hillary and Trump have spoken of reacting human barriers (fence/wall) at the US/Mexico border, but strangely enough, Hillary was not called "racist" over this. Double standards apply apparently.
Seven countries that are predominantly muslim were sited under the Obama administration as security risks. Trump sought to temporarily ban migration from these states where paper work and details of migrants is sub-standard so risk assessments are very poor. This was widely called a "muslim ban" when it was NOT specific to muslims and the vast majority of the world's muslims could STILL travel to America.

As you said double standards. Mainsteram media in US are very hostile towards Trump (Thats my perspective, but I live in Poland). Since he have diferent view on migration and multiculturalism, he's being attacked as racist.

Meanwhile Trump is also trying to get sea walls built to protect his properties from the effects of global warming

And? Does that make the Paris Agreement any less of a toothless disaster that would cost tens of billions of US tax payer dollars, guarantee no results at all, and produce negligible results even if it's followed completely? 0.2 degrees over the next 100 years for $100 trillion, globally. Even if you're on the alarmist side of the climate debate, you have to recognize that these results are unacceptable, given the cost.

The 0.2 degrees was a mistake by the President. It should prevent 2 degrees of warming. That is it might only get 0.2 degrees cooler than it is now, but that should be compared to being 2 full degrees warmer.

Also the costs being talked about are vastly overstated. People are stating the total cost, but hiding the fact that it's shares among 190 countries.

Is the Paris Accord perfect? Probably not, but it's better than nothing and the reality is Trump didn't back out because he wants to do something better.

No, it won't. The Paris Agreement isn't even claiming to result in a 2 degree reduction in warming. If it were, that would be the ONLY thing we hear about it: that it's such a great deal, it would be exceeding the long-talked-about target of 2 degrees. The projections that get anywhere near that number include massive future policy changes in terms of reducing carbon emissions.

If every country were paying the same portion of the bill, and actually had to follow the guidelines, that might be relevant.

President Trump backed out because it's a waste of tens of billions of tax payer dollars while we're running a deficit of hundreds of billions of dollars. Of course he's not going to do something better or even something else, he's going to pile less debt on our children's heads.

Trump pulled out because it was something Obama did.

He's just going to spend the money elsewhere, like golf trips where he pays his own companies with taxpayer dollars.

They thoroughly explained the economic reasoning behind making the decision. Screeching about golf and other low IQ #Resistance talking points confirms that you have nothing worthwhile to say.

It's not the golf, it's the constant lies and profiting on our tax dollars.

I'm waiting for the day someone seriously starts calling for an exhalation tax.

@craig-grant - If people only knew what's really going on...

How does one country pulling out make a difference if it was such a great deal ?

We're the ones paying the most into it, they're upset about losing their sugar daddy.

He's absolutely right. The big picture of the Paris Agreement, and the reason for pulling out, was that it was an economic disaster. The Agreement was toothless, guaranteed no results at all, and would have cost the US tens of billions of tax payer dollars because reasons. Even if it were followed completely, we would avoid a grand total 0.2 degrees in warming over the next 83 years, and cost ~$100 Trillion dollars. Such a high cost for such a small alleged impact on the temperature, it's almost like carbon dioxide isn't a very powerful greenhouse gas ¯_(ツ)_/¯

This agreement is a very bad deal for the American people and needs to be re-negotiated in my humble opinion as a U.S. taxpaying and working class citizen.

Some people are born legends and others are too dumb to realize it. All I can say after learning about this matter.

I do not deny global warming but I do feel that people just tend o attack the president without actually looking at the policy being defended. In this case it is true that the Paris deal is simply a way to feel good while making America suffer and give out money to countries that don't deserve it.

He even stated he was willing to work something out if it was fair. I may not like our president but I realize that if we fail as a country it will be the fault of the people and not just the president. One man cannot destroy our nation and people need to realize that and come back to sanity.

Honestly, whether climate change exists or not, we'll just have wait to find out. Hopefully if climate change does exist and this makes a significant impact in the future, we haven't messed up the planet bad enough to end humanity or something. I'm not sure we'll take it that far... or that "climate change" exists, but in all likelihood if scientists believe it does, we'd be foolish as people to ignore it.
