Playing your heart strings. Seeing Though the propaganda.

Omran Daqneesh just lost his older brother Ali

I think its bad enough that having lost everything in his world Omran has become a symbol for suffering in the Syrian civil war, but this child is now being used as the object of propaganda. The personal exploitation continues for the purposes of a global political smear campaign.

BBC just reported that Ali Daqneesh, the 10 year old brother of Omran, has died. They report that he finally succumbed to wounds sustained when the family home in Aleppo was bombed. For anyone who's heart went out to these children, this is devastating news. We can only imagine what it must be like to have everything that you loved and valued in your world taken in an instant. And, even for the hardest of us, it is very difficult not to at least sympathize with the realities faced by the victims of this brutal civil war.

The article goes on. There is a very subtle drop of blame. "The Syria Solidarity Campaign said 10-year-old Ali 'passed away today due to his injuries from the bombing of his house by Russia/Assad.' Russian and Syrian jets have carried out heavy raids on rebel-held areas." These statements are of course factual The BBC is a respected news organization that prides itself on the accuracy of the news that it disseminates. However, there are a few instances that it cannot help but to display its agenda based bias. Here they find it important for the reader to understand that Omran is a victim of a pro-Assad Russian bombing campaign.

This anti Russian rhetoric has become very common place in western media lately. I first noticed it during the escalation of the Ukraine civil war. As a country divided itself into factions of personal values and beliefs the opposition became referred to as "pro-Russian separatist." Never, did I hear them referred to as what the really were, Ukrainians that would not accept the pro-western ponzi government that took over control of their nation.

They are not pulling any punches when it comes to blaming Russia. It is a purposely constructed rhetoric aimed at conditioning western populations to hate, fear, and mistrust Putin. Now, I'm not going to waist my time defending the guy. He's a KGB gangster who does not share power. Power gained by having his opposition mysteriously die, or disappear. But, I don't buy into the boogie man story. They are not trying to invade the Baltics. They are not a threat to anyone militarily, not like the overreach of the gloved American hands. The shadows of American power need an enemy to justify the horrible things that they do around the world, they have chosen Russia.

This will only escalate. The laws of entropy demand it. We are being conditioned for war. We can here the sabers rattling loader by the day. There will be so many more lost, bloody children caked in the dust of their own home. I'm not proposing that we do anything to stop it, because I don't think we can. I believe it to be far beyond any of our reaches. No march or sit in can prevent what's happening. I think that all we can do is pay attention to it. Become aware of the tools of manipulation that are being used to divide us as people. That will at least take the teeth out of their bite. Just report the facts, and we can decide for our selves how we feel, and who's to blame.

This is a well thought out post and points to a real developing "conditioning attack" we are subjected to in the West. The same thing developed rapidly in the 1950s. When the USSR dropped out of history in 1989, a whole generation of "Kremlin-ologists" went into a tailspin over what to do next--whole careers just shut down for lack of the big bear.

Research that quickly developed in the following years confirmed what somber minds kept repeating for 40 years: the Soviet leadership was committed to playing it safe at all costs--but of course found grounds to intervene within its clearly delimitated sphere of influence."

Right now, the "power centers" are borrowing from the old rusty safe in the basement: the big bear is out again and we need to "defend." None of the "experts" wishes to note the facts of Russian history and the perennial dislike of czars and bolsheviks and stalinists and their descendants until 89 to stick their necks out in direct confrontation with the West. And the current KGB czar is no different ... if anything, he's all too cautious and will move ONLY if he sees an opening that carries minimum or no costs....
