Naked Statues of Donald Trump: Sarcasm gone too far!!

If you have been following some of my posts, you will know that I am not a great fan of Donald Trump neither do I believe he is qualified in any way whatsoever to run for the office of the president talk less of becoming the next president of the capital of the free world. Unfortunately, recent image mock ups of Trump making the rounds have been quite disturbing. The display of a full naked statue at Union Square and other cities across the States is a very shameful and a derogatory one. I think a section of the public has taken this too far. I know that people have the right to express their freedom, whether in speech, act or deeds quite alright but they should not in anyway, use such freedom to infringe on the freedom and rights of others.

Looking at one of the images as featured above, I decided not to show the full image. All I have is a feeling of disgust. The idea behind it is quite tasteless and ill-conceived. Whether they are trying to poke fun at him or not, it is just plain wrong! Such gestures should not be made of anyone, particularly someone running for an election into the highest position in the land. I can just image if such level of tasteless mockery is being made of Hillary Clinton, will it be deemed acceptable? Or would it even see the light of day? These double standards should stop.

He has a thick skin and he seems to have taken in a lot, but playing the devil’s advocate here, he doesn’t deserve this sort of treatment, not by any standards. If care is not taken, this election will only be the beginning of slipping down that slippery slope of the most sexually derogatory election coverage in the history of the United States. If this becomes acceptable, people can only push the boundaries to the next level to see what people will accept. A little bit of fun here and there is not bad, but not when it begins to attack the intimate personal life details of someone else. And to the people who still have the intention of doing such, please let it stop now!
