Let us personify government for a second.

Imagine you hired someone to stock the shelves of a box store, but at the end of the day, only one or two boxes among thousands made it onto the shelf. So you ask the employee, "Why didn't you manage to stack more boxes?" and their reply is "Well I was so busy building my public image that I didn't have time to stock all the boxes. But don't worry, I'll make sure it gets done tomorrow." (next term)

Anyone, like the employer, in their right mind would likely fire this person. But no. we are obviously NOT in our right minds, for what do we do? we say "Ok, well, I'm not happy with the lack of progress, but I'll let you try again tomorrow."

So they show up the next day, and there are now twice as many boxes to stock. And again, they manage only to stack one or two boxes on the shelf. So you ask the employee, "Why didn't you manage to stack more boxes?" and their reply is "Well I was so busy floating on a 'business' cruise in the Caribbean, that I didn't have time to stock all the boxes. But don't worry, I'll make sure it gets done tomorrow." (next term)

If this was your employee, at a regular old box store, working their 'Job' like anyone else... would you allow them to continue on in this way?

Obviously not, for this process has repeated for generations, and yet no one has had the mind to go tell these people "YOU ARE THE WORST EMPLOYEES EVER. YOU'RE FIRED, AND IF ANYONE ASKS US FOR A REFERENCE, I"LL TELL THEM YOU ARE A LAZY OPPORTUNISTIC LIAR WHO DESERVES NOTHING FROM ANYONE FOR THE NOTHING YOU'VE DONE FOR IT!"

But no... rather, we pay them 1000 times more than the average person who actually DOES work and provide a service to people, and then defend the "All Mighty" government from anyone who "complains" about it. If you even so much as raise one peep about how they are supposed to be stocking shelves, YOU are fired for being a "disturbance" in the work force.

Savvy?
