(long exhale sound) - I didn't need to read beyond the headline to know what the article was going to contain. Honestly this type of "journalism" is getting old. Let's keep in mind that 51% of the population didn't vote for Donald Trump and have been kept upset about him winning the vote in the U.S. since November of 2016 by articles just like this one.

First off, if 2016 taught us anything, it is that polls conducted by the media are anything but unbiased and frequently dead-ass wrong. I am sure everyone remembers those polls that showed Clinton had something crazy like a 92% chance of winning and this lead to the almost arrogance of her party and supporters leading into election day.
Statistically, (and not from a poll) Trump only received 49% of the popular vote so is it even a little bit surprising to find out that 51% of the people in USA would prefer the he wasn't in office?

I'm not a calculus professor, but I think that a "new poll suggesting 51% of people want Trump removed" is a foregone conclusion mathematically speaking. It wouldn't make sense if they didn't want him removed since the media has seen to it that their hatred of him is kept "fresh" each and every day.
The publication in question who made this article is Business Insider and I think they might be traveling a bit from their area of expertise because a political poll doesn't really connect to business in a great capacity. It's strange to me that business oriented publication even have political leanings but as it turns out Business Insider is listed as a "left-leaning" publication. We simply can't escape politics it seems.
Another thing that Business Insider tried to hide in their original article is where they got there data from but if you click on a link and dig a little bit you will find this statement.
"CNN surveyed 1,156 adults by phone between January 16-19 and the poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points."
Well, that kind of say a lot doesn't it? So not only is Business Insider telling us something that is already evident by the amount of people that voted for the guy, their polling information comes from none other than Trump-hating CNN. Also, the suggestion that under 1200 people is at all representative of several hundred million people is ludicrous.
I'm sure there is no bias there at all.
Logic has disappeared from news reporting, along with that ol' pretense of objectivity. Headlines ... eh. You nailed it:

it starts to become a real challenge to find anything that even somewhat resembles objectivity in the media these days.

lol! Well, I wonder what it is that these polls are attempting to identify.
Since I live overseas I am not really subjected to a great deal of this sort of stuff but on occasion i will be in an airport or waiting somewhere and will look at a new site and yeah, it's the same ol' rehashing of the same news stories over and over again. I feel bad for the few people I know that have CNN or whatever on in their house all day. These people, just like the "study" would suggest aren't really trying to learn anything they are primarily people who already either love or hate Trump and their favorite station is just giving them more ammo for whatever side they already decided on a long time ago.
