I've never really understood why it is that whatever group that doesn't hold the White House at the time constantly complaining about the background or political affiliation of the White House Press Secretary being loyal to the current regime that is in power. Of course they affiliate with that side, that is how they go the job you dolts!
When Trump was in power, his Press Secretaries were relentlessly attacked and the media went wild with fact-checking them and even having them harassed in public. Conservatives cried foul when this was happening yet here we are with the shoe on the other foot and they are doing the exact same thing.

I don't like some of the motivations behind hiring Karine Jean-Pierre to the job because it is difficult to look at this situation and not think that the White House is pandering a bit because of certain characteristics that she has. She is a POC and she is a lesbian. This makes criticism of anything that she says something that they can immediately say is happening because of racism or homophobia, and that was probably always one of the objectives in this hire in the first place.
However, when conservative news outlets start stating that she has a partisan past and is aligned with Democrats I don't see how this is even something that should be made into a news story. Of course she is a Democrat! Do you really think that the White House would hire a conservative for this job? Let's look back at one of the Press Secretaries that served under Trump - Sarah Huckabee-Sanders

I think that Sarah did an outstanding job as Press Secretary. She handled an extremely hostile mob of reporters on a near daily basis and kept her cool the entire time. Even though it wasn't necessarily what the press wanted to hear, she did a pretty great job of handling people that were definitely trying to get a "gotcha" moment from her with every loaded question that they asked. She was also extremely conservative and had connections to Republican politics. So much in fact that after having this position she has recently won the primary election for governor of Arkansas and is very likely to win the general election later too.
Sarah and Kayleigh McEnany, as well as Sean Spicer and one other woman whose name eludes me, all served as Press Secretaries under Trump and there is no denying where their political affiliations lie. So why is it such a surprise or an outrage for conservative news outlets that the Biden administration would have "one of their own" as a speaker for the office? It isn't and it shouldn't be and these outlets are not doing themselves any favors by jumping on this mud-slinging bandwagon.

The people pushing forth this criticism of Jen Psaki and now Karine Jean-Pierre are the usual suspects of conservative reporting such as The Hill, Red State, and of course Fox and honestly, I wish they would just cut it out. I don't think that digging into the fact that these people are partisan is a surprise at all and it shouldn't be to anyone else. It also shouldn't be a surprise that Psaki is moving on to a more lucrative and easier job at MSNBC after leaving the White House. Think about it ok? Have you or anyone you've ever known used a job as a method of acquiring a new, better job? You probably have and if you haven't you are doing the employment game wrong.
Press Secretaries have always been biased and they always will be. This is nothing new and it isn't newsworthy when someone discovers that the person who takes on this job has been critical of "the other side" in the past. It's just stupid to assume that these people that hold these positions would be completely unbiased in what they tell the press. It is their job to muddy the waters as much as possible to try to make the current administration's actions seem as sensible and wise as possible. That has always been their job and this is never going to change.
I am a conservative-leaning person and I still think it is really idiotic that news outlets would try to make this appear as though there is any sort of shocking story here.

"of course" they are Democrats. But the fact that their utter nonsense my cat could debunk gets a free pass is beyond me

yes they certainly spend a lot of time giving non-answers to questions but then again, look who they are covering for. This has to be a very difficult job when your boss doesn't know how to talk and you have to try to explain everything that he mumbles in public.

From the bits I see, the 0.1% that actually asks questions and is not part of the circle jerk do about government actions, not his mumbles. In fact, when Biden utters something coherent, it's usually dangerous...

I am making $92 an hour working from home. i was greatly surprised at the same time as my neighbour advised me she changed into averaging $ninety five however I see the way it works now. I experience mass freedom now that I'm my non-public boss.
