Trump criticized for giving Limbaugh an award

Let's face facts: Trump would have been criticized for awarding anyone other than Obama the Presidential Medal of Freedom. It doesn't matter who he gave it to, the biased media would have found a way to turn it into a bad thing.

A day ago Trump awarded Rush Limbaugh the award, and it is no secret that Rush is an outspoken supporter of the President.

Limbaugh is one of the most popular conservative talk-show hosts in the United States and one of the few radio shows that people actually listen to in great numbers. He very rarely criticizes the current President and will stand up to anyone who is attempting to bash Trump. Was it seen as partisan that Trump gives this award to what can probably be considered one of his greatest allies? Of course it was.

The Yahoo News article attempts to paint a far more grim picture than the situation actually justifies when they state that "This prestigious medal has been awarded to Martin Luther King Jr., Desmond Tutu, and Shirley Chisholm." I'm sure you know who at least one of these people are but just in case you are unaware, they are (were) all black. The implication being that Yahoo is attempting to turn this into something racist and also suggesting that Trump isn't giving the medal to someone that is important enough as far as human rights are concerned. They go on to try to paint Limbaugh as a racist as well.

What they don't mention are things like this

To say that Ellen Degeneres is a super-fan of Obama and Democrats in general would be a pretty fair assessment of her political leanings. Michelle Obama was on her show so frequently if there was a wiki about her guests, Michelle-O would be on the list of "recurring characters."

So it was perfectly OK (presumably) in Yahoo's and all other liberal pundit's minds that she would receive this high honor that is obviously doled out the friends of the current Presidential administration, but it is not ok that Trump would do exactly the same thing.

This is why no one with any sort of sensibility trusts the media anymore. This qualifies as "dumb" because it is an misleading article that omits some very important details intentionally.
