monkeysphere.
beyond dunbar's number we become irrational.
after the last ice age..when the glaciers melted.
we needed agriculture to survive.
some folks didn't like to work so hard.
they'd rather steal than plow.
thus was born religon..and the state.
....
when the basic needs can be produced individually.
neither will be needful..

I phrased it wrong I should have said that scarcity is not the only thing.

Obviously if people don't have their basic needs satisfied they will violently rob things.

But that is not an issue anymore since tech can pretty much supply all basic needs (water, food, clothes, shelter).

What will really take time is to remove violence from the human DNA and sort of make humans more cooperating.

It's not the organization that is the problem, but the coercion inside it. Only those organizations should exist that don't have coercion in them.

I disagree.
organisations ARE the problem.
anything larger than a clan is irrational.

No, like some international chess organization with tens of thousands of members, there is no coercion there. Because it doesn't have a role to dominate.

The State is for domination only, there is no other role.

Voluntary organizations are ok, in fact they are even helpful, because they offer a channel for humans to organize in their own niche.

Chessplayers can have their own group, football fans their own, steemit users their own, and so on....

People will form groups, big groups, inevitably. The question is will these be voluntary ones or coercive ones?

it doesn't have a role to dominate.

you got it in one.
the difference is...voting with your feet....If you do NOT like the way the chess club is being run...you leave. If you do NOT like the way your country is being run...

oh...wait..

that's a bit harder isn't it?.

Yes it is, because leaving the country you have nowhere else to go, and you can't found your own country.

Leaving a chessclub is not big deal.

no one said life was gonna be easy

yes you can found your own country.
where do you think all the countries came from?

if you want something bad enough
you can get it.

or die trying

Not anymore, all the land is claimed except Antarctica, but that is under a military treaty I believe. Besides you can't achieve sovereignty because larger countries will declare war on that country or assimilate it immediately.

You are displaying
a
failure of imagination.

think outside the box
2/3s of the planet is covered by water.
