I am a firm believer in freedom.

As if you couldn't tell, dear reader.

When you get presented with a chance to do something questionably legal, or to be the best cop they got, do you police yourself, or seek your freedoms where you can get them?

For instance,

If you are on a motorcycle and you got a freeway stretching out in front of you, and you can manage to not cause a square to freak out, then you should be free to ride hard, imo.

http://www.foxnews.com/auto/2017/06/30/motorcyclist-caught-speeding-through-omaha-at-146-mph.html

I used to be able to do this on my xs1100, but I eventually got tagged by the RAAD team (couldn't find a link, reaction against aggressive drivers, a fed program that gave overtime for cops to hassle freedom lovers) and they wrote me enough tickets that I had to stop.

Too be fair, my xs would only do about 120, and a few squares did over react to getting passed with a swooshing sound, but your over reaction is not my issue, you should calm down.

The old biddies and chumps in the fusion center would watch for me on the cameras and dispatch cops.

It took me a while to figure it all out, those things were new at the time, but now, don't speed through this town.

There is not a way through town that doesn't read your chip.

I do still roll through red lights in the middle of the night when there is nobody there.

I don't think too many people here completely stop at stop signs, either.

Why would you if there is no traffic?

Do you take your freedom where you can, or are you running for cop of the year?

Have a perfectly peaceful day.

You've really got to exercise your anarchist muscle every day, in my opinion. Break the little rules while the stakes are low. Because one day, it will be a big rule and the stakes will be high. In a kristallnacht scenario, for instance. Will you break the rules then, when innocent lives hang in the murderous grip of authority? If you haven't been working that muscle out on a regular basis, it might have become atrophied, and you will freeze, unable to do what you know is right.

Right, do we let it get to the point where the choice is die in your home, or get in the truck, or do we stand up while there is still a chance to avoid the showers?

I take my freedom where a can, but as far as cops go i've met at least one hitchhiking in NH that wasn't out to ruin my day. I get in the car straight away dude offers me some bourbon as we are driving along talking guy pulls out badge tells me he is the local sheriff, likes to get to know the hikers that pass through town, and i shit you not he calls himself batman. i forget which town it was, maybe north Woodstock, i feel like it was before the whites, either way i sleep well knowing this dude is out there getting broke hikers dunk, on their way to resupply.

I'll call him a good cop when he puts the cuffs on some bad ones,....

Good to know you talked your way out of being hassled,...

It's not a crime unless there is a victim. We need to get back to laws that make sense.

It's coming, my state just made all drug crimes misdemeanors, over the objections of the lawmaker/rulers.

Some of the laws didn't make it out of committee despite being approved in the last election because the rulers don't care how the people vote.

I have been accused of being a Bohemian, by a child of mine no less.
I was hurt at the time by the way he accused me but I have to admit that it fits.
I follow the laws that I think are reasonable, but we chose to live in the Live Free or Die state of New Hampshire when we retired.
From the Urban Dictionary:

It is difficult transitioning from the might makes right paradigm.

Especially when one's contradictions are pointed out by folks with less might.

Nothing but the straight and narrow for me.

If I had more time I would find it for you.

The one I had got seized and put on the front page of the paper,...

A have most of Saxon's works.

YouTube has picked up where he left off but he was the reason I've picked up 3 different Stainless pressure cookers over the years.

I thought that rig looked familiar.

This guy has posted a ton of info:

Is that mrs Myers next to the soap, if so wise choice, you can wash your eyeballs with that stuff lol :D

It is Mrs Meyers, I swap back & forth between that and Dr Bronners (whichever is on sale).

This is what I have been using,... http://www.calbenpuresoap.com/index.php

I ran from the cops a few times, on my bikes, why didn't you?

No chance, one I came up on one from behind, another was in an unmarked car that I didn't see until he was on my tail and had my tag, and the last one came down an onramp and tried to take me out.
Took me to jail for reckless driving, when he was the one that almost hit me!

I did run one last summer.
He was on the side of the road, and I didn't think he had me, but when I looked back I saw lights so I opened it up and took an offramp by the house, there were two hiway patrols there waving at me, I figured they were bike enthusiasts and waved back, as I sped away,....

No chance, one I came up on one from behind

And you didn't keep going.

another was in an unmarked car that I didn't see until he was on my tail and had my tag

And had a much faster motorcycle than you.

and the last one came down an onramp and tried to take me out.

So you go on the grass, I turned on the grass at an exit when they tried to block me in, they had my tag LOLOL, as I was going 40 on the sidewalk, then 160 down the road just a few seconds later.

In this state if you move towards them they shoot you.

I'm going 40mph, They're not hitting shit.

Here's a pic of my 02' V-Rod I sold a few months ago- had her for more than ten years but sold her due to lack of riding- AWESOME machine- I whacked anything stock out of the hole- she would do 70 in 2nd- motor was designed by Porsche- incredible machine indeed. Was honored to have been her caretaker for so long. A drag race speedster that felt good in the curves! And of course the original model year in anodized aluminum - the only true V-Rods- LOL

It had 4 cylinders and was water cooled?

It must have been a beast.

Just two- is a V-Twin and yes water cooled - the first WC Harley ever yet shunned by the Harley community.. With the Rhinhart racing pipes and Power Commander module she was cranking out about 120hp and that motor would HUM baby- I would wind her out to 7-8gran- that's what that motor was made for- I did over 125 more than once but the solid wheels mess with stability at those high speeds. Total ROCKET!

Well, to be fair Harley pukes never were the brightest crayons in the box.
Their demigod, Sonny B., said if he would have it to do over he would get a bmw.

I can't say I follow every law every time but for the most part I follow the laws.
But every once in a while my evil twin sneaks out and does what she wants how she wants and when she wants.

Well, to be fair most laws involve harm to another, it's the ones that don't that chap my hide.

Good for you, taking your freedoms where you can get them.
