I only briefly touched on this in the podcast but relations between the EU and Turkey are failing rapidly. Erdogan's push to reinstate the death penalty and his picking a fight with Angela Merkel over access to the Incerlik Airbase point to fundamental changes in Turkey's future. No longer are they even interested in EU membership and, instead, are courting relationships with those countries moving into Russia's orbit -- the Visigrad Four (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) -- who all believe in national sovereignty, which Merkel does not, unless it's for Germans that is.

This will continue to enflame the U.S./EU strategy of encircling Russia with missiles now that it has failed to take the warm water port at Sevastapol from them. Malorussia, as the world gets used to the idea, provides a path for Russia's return to Odessa as well in the future.
