Let's talk about Joburg's Densification policy, Smart Growth, and the Smart Grid for a moment..

For Agenda 21 Truth - South Africa

There is a lot of disbelief and anger amongst residents of Johannesburg recently, over the City's arrogant attitude and insistence on going forward with it's very unpopular densification Agenda. Many residents were concerned over the fact that infrastructure can't cope with current population densities, and that there already isn't enough water and electricity to go around. At a recent community meeting I attended in Bryanston, the city didn't really respond to these concerns other than to make vague promises that the money will be there for the required upgrades, a promise that is quite weird to make for an institution up to its eyeballs in debt.

Nonetheless, I can tell you this; the City (and all our other ICLEI members cities) have this problem "covered"!! And it's quite simple. They are going to ration you into prosperity. Ration everything you use, and monitor everything you do. That is their plan.

This whole plan  stems from the UN Sustainable Development Plan, a.k.a. Agenda 21/Agenda 2030. The City officials at the meeting mentioned before, admitted that this is the case, and the video will be released shortly. You can also see this short video, to confirm where these "densification" plans arise from.

The UN Sustainable Development's mandated model for global development, is also often referred to as "Smart Growth". And how can anybody be against that!? Right? Do you want dumb growth? This is the kind of childish mind games that are characteristic of the whole Agenda. It also goes under other names such as "Local Agenda 21", "Sustainable Urbanization", "Liveable Cities", "Inclusive Cities", "transit oriented development" and a few others.

The City actually dared to justify this strategy as part of a plan to "address the spacial planning legacy of apartheid". There is just one problem with that lie, and it is that this exact same strategy is being implemented in cities all over the world, where there was never apartheid, complete with the same buzzwords.  Densification is not about fixing any perceived "injustice" at all, anywhere in the world. Densification is about making it easier for governments to ration all resources, and monitor all activity.

Residents all over the world are also fighting back, but they only win when they know where to focus their attention!

But what does Smart Growth, and living on the Smart Grid really mean?

This piece by Realty Group Sothby's International gives us a good starting point:

"...the City of Cape Town recently took the initiative and developed temporary standards for small-scale embedded generation (SSEG) systems which owners are now required to register for council authorisation."
“The City also has the power to disconnect any illegal electricity supply at the cost of the property owner and, upon conviction, can issue a fine of up to R10 000 and/or imprisonment of up to 6 months.”

This is not the result of our “big government”. Its the result of an even bigger, foreign, non- elected “government”, imposing its global development blueprint on us. This is “smart growth”.

Next, after registration, they know who have these off grid systems installed, and where they are. They will then demand you install a smart meter at your expense, like they did with the water rationing smart meters a year ago, although they’ve been installing them for several years slowly.

The main purpose of these "Smart" meters is to ration supplies of water and energy. Its called “demand management”, because Sustainable Development means we don’t supply demands anymore, we “manage” demands. You’ll find this strategy in all the big metros, no matter who is running them, because they are all ICLEI members, and are implementing that Agenda come hell or high water.

The idea, after they ration you're own off grid energy system, is to have the Smart meter feed any "excess' into the grid, for your "community". In other words, redistributing your off grid electricity. Sustainable Development is the ideology of "communitarianism", where your rights are "balanced" with the rights of the community. I recommend people read up much more about this in Rosa Koire's book, Behind The Green Mask - UN Agenda 21.

"But we'll Never allow that!" Well, we better hurry up in letting the city know then, because they're already busy building this system. In fact, they are now going to bribe people onto the Smart Grid by writing off debt, on condition they install a Smart Meter. (Prepaid meters are also Smart Meters, but not all Smart meters are prepaid)

The linked IOL article from December, "Proposal to clear councils’ debt widely welcomed", reads:

“The South African Local Government Association (Salga) this week resolved to lobby national government to introduce legislation to allow the writing off of “bad, realistically non-collectable debt” on the condition consumers accept the installation of prepaid meters to prevent the recurrence of non-payment.”
“After Salga’s national members’ assembly, where representatives also undertook to lobby for the overhaul of the systems and funding of local government in the context of the policy of the National Development Plan, Integrated Urban Development Framework and Sustainable Development Goals.”

What this doesn't mention is that the NDP and Integrated Urban Development Framework, are underpinned by UN Sustainable Development anyway.

So this is how they are going to solve your little, not enough resources problem. Rationing. And the way they will get there summarised like this:  First they artificially inflate prices in a variety of ways - everything from CO2 taxes, to raising your property taxes, to stopping fund allocation for maintenance and expansion of supplies (more power stations, more dams), and only focus on “demand management”. And that's where all the money then goes. Demand management.

The end result: unaffordability, accumulation of debt. Then they threaten you with legal action over the debt, then they bribe you with writing off the debt if you get onto the smart grid. Then the smart grid rations everything you use, and keeps making it more and more expensive, until the carbon credits on you national ID card runs out, and the effect starts to be culling of the human population to "save the polar bears". These people are fanatics, and they mean business, and have no regard for the consequences. Only to implement this Agenda.

Another flavoured phrase that is thrown around in this Agenda, is creating "affordable housing" and mandating "inclusionary housing" for developers. In truth, a tax on developers. You will find this in the planning documents of all our ICLEI member cities, to be implemented  in city centres  as part of their densification strategies.

How affordable does it turn out to be? Let's look at one such project in Cape Town.

Well, this BusinessTech article tells us that, apparently "23 square metres to 44 square metres with a starting price of R1.26 million", or in other words, living in a match box at about R12,000 a month, is the new "affordable".

In Joburg, there is now talk by some residents associations to litigate against the City, over it's lack of consultation over the densification policies, and mandated inclusionary housing. This Agenda, that is now mandating we rebuild our cities the way the UN wants, even if we can't afford it, or want it, comes from a foreign, unelected bureaucracy, that we never contented to join.

It would be worth remembering, and staying this, if residents are to be successful in defeating this destruction of our property and land use rights, as well as much more importantly, our national sovereignty.
