False Flag #1: February 15, 1898 The USS Maine & The Spanish-American War

The 1800's for America was full of pain
First, they fought a bloody war with Mexico, the civil war, and then with Spain.

After picking up the pieces from the North VS the South,
The American people did not want an utterance of war coming from their own mouth

Getting upset with the bankers, and coming together to form political party number three
The citizens were upset with the elite, which constantly fed them lies and deceit.

To prevent internal dissent and REAL democracy,
the powers that put their crosshairs to the sea

In their scope were Spanish controlled islands of Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam
& Phillipinnes
Chosen as the next targets for all of the explosions and screams

Sugar, Cheap Labour, and other resources awaited
But no clear reason to invade had yet to surface and be stated

Working with the media, context began to be fabricated
Lies after lies about the Spanish failed to get the people substantially exacerbated

As the US claimed the Cubans began civil unrest against the Spanish colonial powers,
The US war machine wanted to crush the Spanish cowards

So President McKinley sent the USS Maine warship to Havana for a friendly visit,
Under the guise that it was to "protect american interest"

Not long-after arrival, the USS Maine exploded
In the middle of the night, unprovoked, and fully loaded

And despite any proof, the media blamed Spain
But they knew who they took orders from was where to actually lay the blame.

The first of many deliberate catastrophes created to provoke war
The US blew up their own ship, to get their citizens on board.

Splattered across the newspapers, the press cried foul
Yellow Journalism manufactured consent as the citizenry scowled

TO HELL WITH SPAIN! REMEMBER THE MAINE!

Screamed the propaganda machine…
As the papers, all flooded with images dehumanizing the Spanish Regime...

So as April rolled around, the US was lock, stock, and ready
To send Spain back to Europe, and to realize Manifest Destiny

Outgunned and outfought, the Spanish were soon defeated
Told to never come back, they permanently retreated

At the turn of the Century, the US was now a world power
Poised for more false flags, for more militarism to empower.

A century more of this deceit to come,
Do not think that the lies behind the USS Maine were just the only ones.
