The Social Media Civil War

So here's a big issue. The major players of the internet have arrogantly waged war on conservatives. They are demonetizing and restricting content that suits our interests. Twitter is shadowbanning our like-minded allies to slow down our influence. Google is downgrading conservative media. Facebook is using the Russian collusion charade as an excuse to attack conservative pages. They are beginning to ban voices on the fringe like Milo and Alex Jones. How long until they can justify banning Steven Crowder, PragerU, or Ben Shapiro? How long until they quietly begin purging Thomas Sowell debates or Milton Friedman lectures? When will we begin getting disciplined for our opinions or arguments? I never thought what is currently taking place would be considered acceptable. So we know the scary direction in which we're headed is going to become reality and it will also be considered acceptable.

Without free and open access to the internet, liberty has no hope. This is our last chance to grow our movement, advance our arguments, and take action. Once we lose the open forum of the internet, we're done. We'll either behave or become outcasts. We will have zero ability to influence. The left will have the ultimate monopoly on information.

So what do we do? These are privately-owned companies, but they exist with such power due to fraud. They sold the lie that they are open forums without gatekeepers and once everyone bought in, they revealed themselves as an arm of the left with little value for free speech. I hate that I have to use Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube, but that's what you need to grow a network in this current age. This movement isn't going to grow through a direct mailing campaign.

The fear of witnessing this closing window is my drive for building this project. It is my belief that while we need these websites in order to grow and have exposure to people outside of our bubble, we need to not be so reliant on them. As this movement grows, it needs to exist outside the realm of social media if it is to have any chance of survival.

So I ask, what should be our strategy with regards to our opponent's tech monopoly? How do we fight back? Do we leave altogether and join pages like steemit? Do our voices disappear completely from mainstream platforms?
