America's Most Successful Diplomat: Dennis Rodman

in politics •  6 years ago

Not really, but he sure seems to have started something here with North Korea.

Rodman went over several years back to help train their basketball team, that was likely the first step in the current relationship building that has been going on.

Here he is after the latest summit, actually offering some very intelligent insights:

He is even getting a bit emotional talking about everything leading up to the summit.

Who would have thought crazy Dennis Rodman would help the United States build a bridge with a country that seemingly had no interest in ever doing so?!

There was Superman, there was Batman, then there was Rodman.

He's not the hero we deserve, but he's the hero we need right now.

Rodman to the rescue!

Vice did a great segment on it a few years back, where they snuck one of their reporters in with a basketball team that Dennis Rodman went over with. This isn't the whole segment, I don't think, but it was really fascinating at the time and worth checking out if you can find it.

Interesting... do you know why Rodman had to leave? Was that on his own or was he asked to leave?

Agreed! After watching this interview on CNN I appreciated everything he was trying to say and do - and I was surprised CNN did not cut him off - that was a miracle in and of itself.

I do designs and could not resist making this although some won't like it... maybe I should make one for the Rodman :D!
