How Individualism & Self Sustainability Will Save The World with Joel Salatin

In this video, I sit down with infamous farmer and author Joel Salatin to talk about the importance of self sustainability in a time where farmers are few and consumers are more abundant than ever.

As the public school system teaches kids to be dependent and the global establishment attempts to force people into city living, the very human, very imperative ability for one to be self responsible and self sufficient is a dying cause.

Joel Salatin breaks down the importance of farming and free market demand. He also breaks down the mixture of Christianity and individualism following the Pope's comments regarding individualism.

Joel also digs into the libertarian approach to Monsanto as most of the anti-Monsanto community calls for banning of GMOs and glyphosate as well as the labeling of GMOs.

The government helped prop up Monsanto in the first place and the notion of government fixing the problems of government only forms a perpetual circle. The solution comes from free market demand, free of government regulatory monopolization.

Joel then goes into the ability to strive for success instead of waiting apathetically for it as far too many young people today ask why they can't be successful instead of what can they do to be successful.

I know the importance of self sustainability, and that's why me and my family have our land where we cultivate all sorts of plants and vegetables for us, and our relatives. I was vary proud after the first year of hard work, that I ate all from my garden and these was no need to go the the market.

It's a beautiful feeling and the establishment hates it. But education and self sustainability is the best way to stay ahead of them. ;)

haha Awesome! :)

And the feeling of eating your own labor is awesome as well. We don't use any chemicals (we even killed potato bugs with our hands), and we found all the old seeds, that are not GMO. Did you know that if you try to plant a seed from tomato purchased nowadays anywhere it wont grow? Yeah that's right, they want us to be dependent on them in every way possible O.o

EXCELLENT GUEST ❗️👏👍🏼❗️I would love to see him be the agricultural secretary for our Republic ❗️Great show again 👏👍🏼❗️

What a remarkable guy! I have a lot of respect for Joel Salatin!

Me too! He was awesome to sit and talk with :)

I'll admit, I reposted before watching and am glad I did. Just found the time to sit and watch and is a great interview. Well done Josh, thanks for sharing.

Joel has been a massive inspiration over the years!

Just bought a home 5 months ago <--- I know dumb right? As a father tho I would rather have a place to defend then be stuck in an 80 unit apartment when the collapse hits. Once the water main broke at the apartment for four days. It was crazy people were using pool water to flush toilets. What will happen when theres no food? :/

Started urban garden for less than $100. It's coming prepare!

Keep it up Josh!

Joel Salatin has been instrumental in my life transformation going back 9 years ago now. I became a homesteader for the exact same reasons that he explains in this video. Individualism and self-sustainability may not save the whole world but it will save my world. And if enough people around me do the same thing I'm doing, it will save our corner of the world. And if our corner of the world will affect the other corners of the world then it just might save the world.

My goal is to be back on the land in a year from today. Not ashamed to say I'm stealing Joel's playbook almost entirely. I was raised by beef but we're aiming to be fully self sustainable and market the surplus. Great guest and interview as always Mr. Sigurdson!
