My father told me the other day that the person died in Charlottesville was a white supremacist. Obviously, I couldn't tell him he was wrong; he hates being wrong. So I told a lie to bridge the divide. I told him the woman was a counter protestor but one of the other two people killed was a white supremacist. This lie is unfortunate because it disgraces the two officers that sacrificed their lives protecting citizens.
This makes me ask, however, what absurd source does my father have for this outlandish claim? I hope he isn't reading any Alt-Right sources. Honestly, it instills a slight degree of worry and fear that he made such a false claim. His main source is Fox News, so I can't rule out the possibility that Fox was the source. Would Fox steep down THAT low? Knowing Fox, this is likely. I just wish they would change the channel and gain a new perspective through channeling different information.
